CatholicActs

As an adult Catholic perhaps you have heard others raising various questions about your faith..  For example, "...why do Catholics believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist?"  Perhaps you have even asked yourself many of these same questions and were surprised to learn that you didn't know the answers or where to find them.

Unfortunately. many Catholics when faced with this situation, choose to assume that Catholics have it "all wrong".  Alternatively, they choose to make their own decisions as to what the right "teaching" is.

These questions formed the basis for the formation of the CatholicActs teaching ministry.  "ACTS" stands for "Apologetics through Community, Teaching and Song".  Now in our fourth season, CatholicActs is a teaching ministry designed for Catholics and by Catholics to help all of us to better understand the rich tapestry of our faith.

Passages
A Catholic Music Ministry

What is the "Song" component of ACTS?  In the early days of the Church, Catholics were often forced to practice  their faith "underground" to avoid persecution.  They often times used songs and their lyrics as a means to transmit the faith without drawing the attention of authorities.

Rooted in this concept, the CatholicACTS ministry formed Passages,
A Catholic Music Ministry, to build on this ancient concept using modern/popular
song styles that contain Catholic lyrics.  We sought to write and present music that
was entertaining and enjoyable to listen to but also provided important information and teaching about our faith.

Two CDs and many parish presentations later, Passages has blossomed into
a full fledged ministry on its own.  Click on the "Passages" button for moreinformation and to learn how to schedule a Passages presentation at your parish.
