         A Catholic Music Ministry

"We have been invited, to stand upon this rock and join him in the journey..."
-The Invitation, from the Passages CD, Keeping the Faith

For many of us, music is a common denominator- a way to relax, a pause for reflection, a vehicle to stir the emotions and the imagination.  Music can also connect with us on a spiritual level as well.

Intersect these realities with a calling to fulfill our evangelical responsibilities as Catholics and a deep appreciation for good popular music- make that great popular music like the singer/songwriters of the seventies- and you have the foundation of the Passages music ministry.

Initiated as an "experiment" to see if popular music styles could be effectively integrated with meaningful Catholic lyrical content, our ministry has grown to include two original, full length CDs of Catholic music (the CD covers are pictured on the right side of this page).  Crafted in the footsteps of music that we're all familiar with (from the likes of artists such as James Taylor, the Eagles, CSN, Carole King, and others), our music - each and every song - is rooted in Catholic teachings and beliefs.  Although our message dovetails with the objectives of our CatholicACTS teaching ministry, our songs are fun to listen to and they are professionally produced.

Topics covered in our music include the Blessed Mother, the Eucharist and John 6, Catholic moral teaching, the Papacy and many others.  You can check our music out by clicking on any one of the sample embedded songs found under the "Songs" button.  Check out "I Believe in Life" for a powerful pro-life message, "The Invitation" for reflections on some of the foundational teachings of our Church or "I Will Trust in You" for a reminder of where we can find real comfort in difficult times.

We have taken our act on the road- join the dozens of other WNY parishes that have hosted a powerful presentation by our music ministry.  Click on the "Keeping the Faith" button.

The Right to Life challenges we face today touch each of us in profound ways.  One such way is evidenced by our song "I Believe in Life".  Another way, which took inspiration from the song is evidenced by a drawing made by a gifted artist and a great friend, Randy Liwicki.  Click on the link below for a look at Randy's inspiration.
